Multi-channel light installation: LEDS, mounting brackets, aluminium profile rods, DMX controlled, programmed colour-light sequences, loop 20 min
Color dispatch #1, 2014
Installation view: Landesmuseum Hannover 2014
The light installation is based on the rapid communications between Hanover and Great Britain, at the time of the personal union (1714-1837). The transmission of news over a great distance, as initiated by the personal union, was translated into a filmlike rhythmic colour movement and intervals on the buildings. To this end text material from historical documents and old letters was converted into coloured barcode sequences. The installation makes use of the spatial.
